Resources

Tutvid offers video tutorials in Photoshop, InDesign, Flash, and more. I found that video tutorials help me understand the lessons more than written tutorials. The lessons are very clear and take you through step-by-step. I highly recommend this site for those that are visual learners like myself.

Web Designer Ledger is a great website when beginning a design. Written as a blog, items are posted daily including design inspirations, free resources, deals on design software, tips, and more!

About.com gives a general overview about getting started with HTML. I used this website a lot throughout this semester to learn the basics of building my personal webpage. I found the Design Basics page to be especially helpful. There is also a page dedicated to careers in web design, which is very interesting.

W3Schools is a very thorough site dedicated to everything HTML and CSS. They even have quizzes that you can take to help you practice creating a website.
